Im a proud owner of 2 female English Springer Spaniels. Ive raised and bred Springers since 1987. My 3 year old "terabithia" just gave birth to 7 beautiful puppies on May 1st,2011. Tera's sire Pine Meadow Bush Bruiser is a 4th generation descendant of Salilyns Condor a best in show westminster champion from 1996. The Salilyn line is one of the most well known lines in the history of Springer Spaniels. The2nd and third generations include dogs from the Shore Springer Spaniel line. Shore Springers have been successful in raising several impressive champion Springers.

This years litter includes 1 Black / White male, 1 Black/White/Tan male, 1 Black/White/Tan female, 3 Liver/White/Tan females & 1 Liver/White female. The Liver/White female has an all white face, something I have never seen on a Springer before. To my surprise Its actually turning out to be an attractive puppy, I didn't think I would like the white face.

I offer free obedience and gun dog training to anyone purchasing a puppy from me. This gives me a chance to be involved with some of my puppies after they leave and see first hand how they are doing.

As of this past Sunday the pups are 3 weeks old. Tera must be producing good milk because these little guys have quite the little round bellies. I don't remember Daisy's pups getting quite this round! They have started playing and wrestling, so much fun to watch. They are also starting to recognize us and when we go to the box and they come over to be held and cuddled by the kids.
Im getting many emails from people interested in buying a puppy Ive got 2 deposits so far. I always wonder if they will all sell before 8 weeks old but they always do.

Well they turned 4 weeks old this past Sunday, They are getting around good now wrestling and playing hard. An amazing thing happened over the weekend my older female the grandmother to the puppies "Daisy" started getting in the with the puppies, and immediately laid on her back so the puppies could nurse. We actually had to force her out of the whelping box several times so Tera could get in there to nurse them. Daisy did this so much that by the end of the weekend she is now actually starting to lactate. I did not think this was possible but from what I have read on the internet it is possible but rare. We always said she was a good mother I guess this proves it. Between her and Tera these should be some well cared for puppies.

The puppies turned 8 weeks old. still have 3 left. First time ever in 24 years. My favorite tricolor female went yesterday to a person who owned a dog 5 generations back in this same line. He also trained with one of the field champions from the line. It was really great to talk with someone who seen the ancestors of this line and could point out the similarities that have been passed down and can be seen in this generation.

Tera and Daisy have actually both decided to ween the puppies and are not poducing much milk now. They raised some very healthy pups through there team effort.
